Prescription drug price

My son has the flu. His pediatrician wants him and his sister (she's not sick yet) to take Tamiflu. This is a pic of the kids' scripts. Each one of these bottles cost us $143, and we have RX coverage. Add to that the generic Tamiflu my wife and I were told we should take, and we spent $850 on flu medicine for a family of four, out of the blue. I'm not feeling especially 'covered' right now by our insurance policy. This is a system that absolutely does not work for working people.

Our troubles are far worse than economic. Tamiflu has never been as effective, let alone safe, as manufacturers led doctors to believe. This is true in the instance of many drugs, but with Tamiflu it is being addressed: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/07/170712200235.htm
